October 23, 2013 ~ Today is the day!

Abush leaves today. We dropped him off at the MTC at 1pm. It was so exciting to see all these missionaries standing outside to wait for the new kids. Earlier we went to brunch at Magleby's, and then went and got him a camera so he can take lots of pictures for us to see. He is starting a new adventure, working full time for the Lord, and I know he is ready and willing to do what needs to be done. We are so proud of him, and how much he has matured and grown up to be ready for this day. 2 years is a long time, but I know we will all be blessed for his efforts!!

Final Steps until Abush leaves!!

After the dinner we went over to the stake house for Abush to be set apart as a full time missionary. It was a very special experience which we won't forget. He is ready! He is excited! He is nervous! And so are we...

Temple Day and the farewell

Abush went to the temple on October 10, 2013. He went to the Provo temple. Andy, Megan and Grandma Abel were able to come! Afterwards, we went to eat at Station 22 in Provo. What a fantastic day!  His farewell was Oct. 13 and boy did he have a crowd at the church!! We had reserved the park, because I knew there would be soooo many people....but it was really cold and rainy, so at the house it was. Pulled Pork sandwiches, baked beans, cornbread and lots of yummy salads and desserts. It was amazing!
